|
|
It's November once again and everyone is looking forward to December. I think this is a great time for everyone to finish up on their photo stocks and use it for their layouts before we get swamped with more holiday photos (lol).
Here is a simple instructional on how I create a layout using the fabulous November kit featuring Lily Bee Audrey line. I hope you enjoy this short tutorial.
Lets get started!
Materials:
From the November Kit: LilyBee Audrey - Smashing pp, LilyBee Audrey - Graceful pp, LilyBee Audrey - Classy pp, Thickers, Velvet Blue Ribbon, Rubons
addtional embellishments are from October Kit: Lace and buttons
Others: Distress Inkpads, 3 photos and cardboard
Step 1:
We will use the LilyBee Smashing pp (Blue side) as our base background. Below are the measurements of the remaing paper pieces that you need to cut:
Graceful 11"x9"
Smashing 6"x3" and 12"x1.25"
Classy 12"x1.75"
Step 2:
Distress the edges of Graceful 11"x9" and Smashing 6"x3" using scissors and your Distress Ink Pads. Once your desired effects is achieved, adhere both pieces on the top area of your main pp. Make sure that you have around 1/2 inches space from the top, left and right side. The smaller piece (Smashing) should be adhered on the upper left side underneath the Graceful pp.
Step 3
Curl the upper left part of both pps. This will give a multiple page effect on our design. Then on the tip of the curl, add a half scalloped circle and a button. See photo below for reference:
Step 4:
Using a cardboard scrap, cutout 3 pieces with exactly the same measurements of your photos. We will use these pieces as templates and guide.
Arrange the cardboards on your layout the way you would like to place your photos.
Step 5:
Start masking the outer edges of each cardboard.
Step 6:
Distress and crumple up Smashing 12"x1.25" and Classy 12"x1.75". Adhere both pps below Graceful pp while making sure that the smaller piece overlaps the bigger piece. See photos below for reference:
Step 7:
Adhere your photos in accordance to the masking effect that was created.
Step 8:
Cut a piece of the LilyBee Rubon "live the life you love" and adhere it on the upper left side of the center photo.
Step 9:
Cut a piece of lace and ribbon measuring 11 inches long. Adhere lace directly under the 2 strips of pps and adhere ribbon at the top of the 2 pp strips. See photo for reference:
Step 10:
To finalize, add your title and more embellishments at the bottom of the photos.
FINISHED LAYOUT:
Happy scrapping! _________________
